Designed to connect all people to the gospel of Jesus Christ, H2O has two venues in Bowling Green to engage in worship, to inform each other of the truths of the Bible, and to inspire a life of faith in our community.

We hope you can stop by and visit!

COVID-19 SUNDAY UPDATES

Our leadership team has spent time discussing the new CDC recommendations as well as the discontinuation of most state and local health orders related to COVID-19 with an eye toward how best to move forward as a church family. Our response from the start has been to maintain a posture of humility in applying public health directives to our church’s life while continuing to gather in safe and healthy ways.

While the past year has not been easy we are so thankful to say that we made it through the past 52 weeks of gathering in person on Sundays with no known spread of COVID. We believe this is a huge accomplishment and we are so thankful to God and for your help in keeping our church family and community safe!

And so now, as these directives have significantly changed, we believe the time is coming to make changes to our church’s gathering. As we have willingly submitted to the necessary precautions since the start of the pandemic, we are now preparing to worship together with less restrictions in place. And while we may individually feel a range of emotions about these new changes, we are eager to step into this new season as a church!

Beginning with our worship gatherings on Sunday, May 30, the following changes will be in effect:

  • Masks will shift from required to OPTIONAL. We expect to have both masked and unmasked people in attendance, and we celebrate the freedom and diversity of response to this complex cultural moment.

  • Our seating will shift from one entirely physically distanced area to sections that allow for physical distancing as well as sections without any distancing measures in place. We believe this will honor the diversity of responses present in our church and provide a comfortable worship experience for as many as possible.

  • These changes will apply to our H2O Kids classrooms and areas as well.

We recognize that each of us is responding to these new freedoms in our own way and at our own pace. These new policies are our best attempt at honoring the latest health recommendations, the overall movement of our city and our nation, and the need for some to continue taking protective measures. If you have any questions or need clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out at h2o@h2ochurch.com.
