AMOS AND GOD'S JUSTICE

DUSTIN MILLS

Through his dynamic preaching, the prophet Amon confronted kings, priests, and other nobles for living in luxury while exploiting the poor. They had led God's people into false piety and had become numb to the real concerns of life and goodness. Amos, concerned to see God's will carried out on Earth, writes "Let justice roll on like a river!" His message reverberates through the ages, and meets us today as relevant as ever.
